The Michigan 6 replaces the 2010 Michigan L and receives a number of key new features, the major one of which is the upgrade of the flysheet from 3000mm hydrostatic head to 4000mm hydrostatic head. The Michigan 6 combines two of Outwell's ingenious pole systems, to create a deceptively large family tent using just 3 main steel exterior poles and a combination interior and exterior fibreglass poles. The Outwell Space Frame system is essentially pair of internal criss-cross poles in the roof space that allow for the main poles to remain far apart giving more living space but also allowing for great head height at the same time. The other pole combination is the Outwell Extended Frame System a set of external subsidiary poles used to create much deeper and voluminous sleeping areas. The Michigan 6 features 2 large sleeping compartments that can sleep up to 6 people in total. It features a large living room (2.65x2.65m) with great head height plus a much wider and deeper porch than you see on most dome tents making it a truly useable work or relaxation space. Other key features include, large front and rear panel doorways, fully sewn-in polyethylene groundsheet with detachable groundsheet in porch area, O-shaped stowaway doors on the inner tents, large windows with toggle-up curtains, strategically situated skylight (great for UFO spotting). The technical features include a 19mm steel poles plus 11/12.7mm Duratec fibreglass poles; flysheet first or all as one pitching; an Outtex 4000 flysheet (a fire retardant polyester based material of 4000mm hydrostatic head) double stitched with taped seams; nylon carry bag with wet gear compartment; adjustable pegging points; lamp holder and cable tidies; Outwell doormat; pre-attached luminous guy lines; Outwell heavy duty zips; power cable entry point; guy line retainers.
