Vango Woburn 400 Tent
The Vango Woburn 400 is the replacement for the old Icarus 400 and is similar in looks, layout and dimensions to that very popular tent. The Woburn 400 is a 4-berth tunnel tent with a bedroom inner curtain than can split the bedroom into a 2+2 configuration each section of which will have its own entrance door. The breathable inner tent also features the 'lights out' system which filters out early morning daylight for a more comfortable sleep.
The Vango Woburn 400 is very quick to pitch with the same length poles and head height throughout the tent making it a great weekend tent for the family or a group of friends.
The living area is a well proportioned 2.6x2.4m so providing ample living/dining space. There are two entrances off the living area - both large panel doors that can be either rolled up or propped out to form sun canopies.
The tent has a fully sewn-in polyethylene groundsheet so keeping out draughts and bugs and the interior also benefits from Vango's TBS (tension band system) - webbing straps that you can deploy to strengthen the tunnel structure in poor weather conditions.

- I would recommend this tent
11th September 2013
I practically lived in this tent all summer. It was easy to put up (I even managed it on my own, although if it was windy I don't think it would have been possible with just one person). I bought the footprint sheet which is brilliant and makes sure everything is in the right place and keeps the tent bottom clean. Overall there was plenty of room for 2 adults plus dog but I think if you had 4 adults in it would be a squash. It has a nice light living space with plenty of space and headroom. The wind system straps are a good idea - it was fairly windy on a few days and the tent didn't move an inch, I've yet to try them in a gale though! There were 2 very minor things I didn't like. The clips that attach the bedroom compartment to the floor are really tight and difficult to use - I bought some mini carabina clips which sorted this problem out. The other problem is that when you zip up the doors from the inside it is difficult making sure you have the rain gutters covering the zip. It is not impossible to do just a bit tricky. Otherwise a great product that I would definately recommend. I am thinking of purchasing the porch extention as this would give lots of space for wet gear without encroaching on living space.@Snowflea I've used the Vango Woburn 400 too three times this year, like you 2 adults and a small dog, easy to erect great space but you should think of investing in the extension awning it does make all the difference and only 10 mins to fit.

- Great design

I bought this tent as I wanted a tent with full head height that was easy enough to set up on my own (to use with the kids when husband is working) and not too large or heavy. The design of the tent overall is great. I also bought the front canopy, which gives extra shelter and stops the front door of the main tent from getting soaking wet. Used recently on a 2 day trip in Scotland, torrential rain and strong wind and the tent stood up to it well.
A couple of minor negatives (bearing in mind that no tent is perfect!)
-the clips to secure the bedroom compartment are a real fiddle, but I bought some mini karabiners to use instead and this worked a treat.
-I had to order 3 tents before I received one that was fault-free (faulty zips and frayed guy ropes), so I am not impressed with Vango's quality control. Outdoor Megastore, however, were fantastic in providing the replacements.
-there is no insect mesh on the front door, only the side door, which is a shame.
Overall, though, would recommend.@campingwithkids I have used this tent twice this year with an extension canopy and like you found it very easy to use, easy to erect and spacious.
