The Tigris Range has undergone a makeover for 2011. These tents remain easy-to-pitch - the Tigris 400 has a very simple 3-pole fibreglass pole structure - but one that gives great head height and therefore a light and airy feel to the tent. There are also flexible bedroom arrangements (Stan likes very much) and storage options a plenty plus two entrance options. And this is where the upgrades come in: the entrances now feature step-in doorways which make the living space fully enclosed. The tent frame is still constructed with Powerflex fibreglass poles, but there's now a Protex 4000 embossed Polyester flysheet providing 4000mm hydrostatic head waterproof protection. As is the norm these days, the groundsheet is fully sewn-in to keep out unwanted pests, draughts and water ingress.
The other key features of the tent include a waterproof exterior storm skirt, flysheet first pitching, 4-berth sleeping compartment with roll-back divider, colour coded poles, TBS tension band system for extra strengthening in adverse weather, 10,000mm HH internal polyester groundsheet, cable entry point and tidies, mesh double doors, mesh vents, pelmet and inner tent pockets, 'Crystal Clear' windows, double zip windows (for vent/light/cover flexibility), breathable 190T polyester 'lights out' inner tent, inner divider can be removed when not in use, parallel zipped front door can be used as a sun canopy (canopy poles included), fixed canopy over side door, rain gutter zip covers. Saddle bag and repair kit included. Flame retardant throughout. 15 minutes pitch time.
