Vango Ark 300+ Tent
To create the Ark 300+ Tent, Vango has taken the standard Vango Ark 300 and added a large front porch to it to create a tent that will be an instant hit with tourers and bikers.
The Vango Ark 300+ has a simple tunnel tent design but with the highly recognisable 'gothic arch' poles that provide a greater internal space, headroom and stability. The unique feature of the Ark 300+ is the extended porch area which allows for greater storage and freedom of movement about the tent.
There's a bathtub groundsheet to the proch area which toggles up against the flysheet. This groundsheet is also attached to the inner tent to make a secure area from draughts, bugs and water ingress.
The 3-berth inner tent is made of breathable polyester and features a part mesh door for added ventilation. In the living area there are two door options, a roll-to-the-side side entrance and a canopy front entrance door that can be propped up and used as a sun canopy (porch poles not supplied).
The flysheet is made with Protex 3000 70D polyester providing 3000mm HH waterproof protection. The groundsheet is a robust polyethylene providing 10,000mm HH protection and the poles are Vango's own Powerflex fibreglass poles.
Other features of the Vango Ark 300+ Tent include:
- Inner tent pockets
- Large PVC front windows with internal covers

- Ark 300+ Review
14th September 2013
Bought this tent as a replacement for a small 2 man tent we previously owned. Easy to put up (About 5 Minutes), And quite roomy, although a bit of a push if you want to fit 3 people in it.. Large enough porch area for a reasonable amount of gear (me and my wife even managed to fit a couple of camping chairs in there on rainy days). Large bedroom area for 2 people, With side pockets on either side. Good in poor weather, with not too much problems with condensation. Good amount of ventilation. Not a sewn in groundsheet for the porch area, just clips in, although proved quite useful. Would recommend.@aej1974 Vango ark 300+ is a great new tent, simple to erect, spacious and ideal for lightweight camping.

Bought this for live roleplaying events (think festival, but with even sillier outfits). Needed a tent that would hold one person, a whole lot of costume kit, food, cooking equipment and a washing up bowl, a rubber sword or two and still give me room to change and clean up. This does the job brilliantly. The gothic arch poles give it a great personality for LARP as well as making it easy to find in a crowd of more ordinary tents!
The linked-in groundsheet in the porch is great: you can tip water off the edges if you spill a drink or let some rain in. It won't keep you dry in flood conditions but what tent will! Of course it doesn't keep the crawlies out either so this isn't a tent for serious arachnophobes.
The arch design has extra headroom over the usual tunnel design which is a big benefit when you're getting changed and makes it feel much airier too. Ventilation is fantastic, especially if you buy some 130cm king poles and put the front up like a porch. Crashing out to get some headspace on a hot day is easy in this tent. The only improvement I would have made is to have fly mesh inside both doors - the front one only opens completely, and I got to spend way more time than I wanted having tea with a friendly wasp on my last day.
The flysheet is no better and no worse than any other tunnel design, you have to shake the rain off before you open the door but like I said the linked-in ground sheet makes it easy to get rid of puddles. Space in the sleeping area is as you'd expect and has the usual small storage pockets. Overall this is a great weekend tent for car or train campers - it's a good compromise between comfort and size/weight and is solid and reliable for a long weekend away.@chime What a great review, Vango ark 300+ is indeed a great new design, easy to erect and very spacious too.

- Excellent Tent
3rd July 2013
Just used this tent for the first time at Glastonbury. I like to have a bit of room so it was ideal for me on my own with a LOT of kit! I don't travel light and took in 2 x 100L rucksacks, the contents of which were easily swallowed up by the tent and left plenty of room for my blow up single mattress in the sleeping area and a blow up (Vango) camping chair in the porch. I also purchased the extra king poles, which proved very useful both for keeping the sun from shining directly in, and to keep drizzle out during the one wet day whilst sitting in the porch. The flexibility that is provided by having 2 doors in the porch is useful. Note that this tent has a linked-in groundsheet in the porch area (not sewn in as stated in the description) and I found this to be an invaluable feature. One of my water containers leaked during the night, but all I had to do was sweep the water to the edge of the groundsheet with a sponge and that was it gone out under the tent and the floor was dried up in 30 seconds. It was also useful just for sweeping out bits of grass etc without having to unzip the door. Ventilation is OK, although if I were to have one very minor complaint it would be that the morning after the one night it rained there was quite a build up of condensation on the inside of the porch roof, which had to be sponged dry, but that's only to be expected. Setting up is simple; I just laid out the tent and pegged it to the floor first, inserted the poles, pegged out 3 guy ropes et voila, 10 minutes at a stroll. The tent was up for 5 days in some fairly stiff breezes at times and was fine with just 2 guy ropes at the front and one at the back, which meant I had no problems with people tripping over them. There are of course several other guy ropes that can be pegged out if necessary. I could go on for ages about this tent, I really enjoyed using it, it is very sturdy, good quality and I'm more than happy to recommend it.@MR777 Great review thanks, Vango Ark 300+ tent is a great easy to use design, easy to erect, spacious and very sturdy too.
