The Icarus range is likely to prove even more popular in 2011 due to the fantastic upgrades Vango has introduced for this season. Firstly the flysheet moves up to a Protex 3000 embossed polyester with 3000mm hydrostatic head. Second, the introduction of step-over doors means that the living area groundsheet is now fully enclosed. Lastly, the new larger venting panels means greater air circulation (Stan needs this) reducing even further the chances of condensation. The Icarus range has built its popularity on the back of its fantastically simple 'as-one' easy to pitch system and the simple 3-pole no hassle construction makes it the most ideal of
weekend tents. The tent frame is constructed using Powerflex fibreglass poles, a Protex 3000 embossed Polyester flysheet (3000mm hydrostatic head protection) and as is the norm these days, the groundsheet is fully sewn-in to keep out unwanted pests and draughts. The other key features of the tent include, as-one pitching, single 3-berth sleeping compartment (with no divider), TBS tension band system for extra strengthening in adverse weather, 10,000mm HH internal groundsheet, side 'D' door with mesh double door, heavy duty continuous poles sleeves, storm skirts, pelmet with storage pockets, cable entry point, front door mesh vent, reflective webbing, 'Crystal Clear' windows (with internal covers), breathable fabric inner tent, parallel zipped front door can be used as a sun porch (porch poles not provided). Handled carry bag and repair kit included. Flame retardant throughout.
