Just when you thought that the Outwell Vermont tents couldn't get any bigger or more spectacular, then along comes the Outwell Vermont 2012 range. There are 2 fundamental changes to both the Vermont XL and L this season - the first is that the windows are now all tinted which will have the effect of minimising the glare from the sun but also of improving privacy. The second is that the front of the tent has been re-designed to incorporate a Panoramic Room - a large fully enclosed front porch area with a 4-zip multi-door opening which allows you to open up the enire front of the tent converting the room from an enclosed porch to a sun room. These massive changes have persuaded Outwell to change the name of the two tents in the range from the Vermont L and XL to the Vermont LP and XLP (the 'P' standing for Panoramic).
The Vermont XLP is the largest tent in Outwell's Premium Collection of tents with adequate sleeping space for 7 people along with a built-in wardrobe/storage area - which are becoming a must with the 'glamping' revolution. The rear bedroom area consists of a 2+3 universal inner tent (a section of which can be removed when not in use) with zipped divider curtain and a separate 2-berth inner (again, which can be remove when not in use). The inners are all breathable polyester with mesh pockets and the new Wave Shaped hanging system. In front of the bedrooms is the large main living space measuring a massive 2.7m x 4.6m. Even with the wardrode erected in this space it still gives you plenty of room for additional tables and chairs. There are two side doors off this space which give you plenty of alternative entrance options and enhanced airflow through the tent when both are opened. The bedroom area and the main living area features a fully sewn-in groundsheet. Finally, through a partion wall with a large doorway is the panoramic room which again is so large it will easily accommodate additional dining/relaxing furniture, kitchen unit(s), bikes, kayaks, you name it. This area features a loose bathtub style groundsheet which you can easily remove to wash, etc. Both the living area and the panoramic room feature large panoramic windows with zip-up privacy covers so that you can vary the exact level of light/privacy you want. There are mesh vents above 4 of the main windows for good ventilation.
The Outwell Vermont XLP tents contain all of the main Outwell Premium Range features such as Outtex 5000 75D Polyester flysheet with taped seam (5000mm HH protection); 19/22mm steel poles; 3 upright poles to convert front to sun canopy; wheeled carrier bag; Outwell doormat; large side and front windows; reinforced guy points; internal storage pockets; lamp holder with cable tidies; pre-attached luminous guys with retainer system; full length mesh inner tent pockets; heavy duty Outwell zips; cable entry point; low level windows; Outwell Easy Pegging System (colour coded pegs for perfect pitching); Outwell Wind Stability System - a tab connecting flysheet, pole and guyline for greater stability in windy conditions.
