Outwell Tarp

The Outwell Tarp (Stanetta has been called similar) is the ideal way of creating shade or shelter, either over your tent, in front of it or on its own. The two accompanying 22mm upright steel poles (2.3m high) provide many possibilities for producing a pleasant area of shade from the sun or as a shelter from the rain.

The Outwell Tarp measures 3.5m x 3.5m (a fisherman's tale if I ever heard one) and is made from Outtex 4000 polyester tent fabric with taped seams making it waterproof, exceptionally strong and durable. Produced in Sage Green only for 2013.

Outwell Tarp features include:

  • Luminous pre-attached guylines
  • Reinforced patches on all stress points
  • 22m spring-linked steel poles
  • Outtex 100% 75D Polyester Flysheet

  • Great Item, shame about the pegs 11th September 2013 45 Lightweight Tarp, bought for use as an awning to our Outwell Tent, easy to erect and able to withstand strong winds. Only down side is the plastic pegs that broke on first use, why not sell with metal ones? Also pole base plastic cap broke on first use, but just taped up.

from South WalesVerified Purchaser@Yates Cant really win with tent pegs, wire/steel for hard ground, plastic for sandy/soft ground and angled/threaded/ reinforced for stony ground so it pays to carry a mix of them all.
  • Smaller than expected 20th September 2011 35 I was expecting a large protected area, however the tarp is smaller than expected due to the tapered sides. Also it is expensive compared to other makes. The height at 2.3 meters is great for cooking and the poles though heavy are excellent. The Outwell plastic ground pegs are not fit for purpose and I have replaced them.
