Outwell has taken the best selling Montana 6 and created a long-overdue PolyCotton version of the tent called the Montana Lake. The Outwell Classic tents feature all of the best details of the Premium Polyester range but are reproduced in the Outtex Airtech* Polycotton (65% cotton; 35% polyester), producing arguably the best tents on the market today. The polycotton flysheet provides a cooler internal climate (Stan will soon hot it up) and is inherently more breathable than polyester. While it is also significantly heavier than polyester, the increased weight of these tents has been offset by the use of 25mm aluminium alloy poles throughout rather than heavier steel as in other tunnel tents of this size. Another major feature is the zipped in PVC tarpaulin groundsheets (10,000mm HH) that provide a totally enclosed environment when in use but can be completely removed and cleaned/aired when not.
The Outwell Montana Lake is a hugely comfortable 6-berth tent (with 3+3 berth inner cabins), great living space and stand up height throughout. It features a side porch area, a front door, two side doors all with no-see um mesh screen secondary doors, large windows in living area and porch, window vents and covers. The tent is pitched flysheet first or as one. Other features include: two steel porch poles; detachable groundsheet for porch area; carrier bags for canvas and poles; Outwell doormat; organiser pockets; D-shaped inner doors; cable entry point; lamp holder and cable tidies; adjustable reinforced pegging point; pre-attached luminous guys; mesh pockets in inner tents; heavy duty Outwell zips; low lights, Guyline retainer system.
*Airtech is a Polycotton fabric with a water repellent coating on the outside which allows water droplets to form and run off the tent then, as the rain gets heavier the fabric closes up and seals itself to become totally waterproof. Airtech also has a strong resistance to UV decay and, if carefully looked after, will last for many years.
