The Kampa Tenby 10 is a truly enormous tent that provides sleeping accommodation 10 people and still leaves room for a dedicated storage area. If you remember the Outwell Nebraska's with a fond memory, then this tent is surely for you. The all steel cross-over pole construction makes this tent practically bomb-proof and the fully sewn-in groundsheet will ensure that the elements are also kept at bay.
The Tenby 10 features a 4+4+2 (better than catenacchio) sleeping arrangement with the 4-berth inners featuring divider curtains and the 2-berth inner being purely optional. There is also a large storage/wardrobe/toilet area which is a good use of space if large numbers of people are staying in the tent. The inner tent areas also feature Kampa's 'Sleep Tite' system - darkened areas where you can continue to sleep during the early sunrises.
In the huge 4.6x3.2m living area there are two doorways - one large front 'D' door leading to the porch area and a rear door which features a mesh vent. The permanent porch area is itself 3x1.85m and features two picture windows so making it an ideal sitting area or cooking area (assuming caution is exercised). The large panel door to the porch, which can be propped open to form a sun canopy, also features a large window. There is a daylight panel in the roof for additional light.
The specification of the tent is set high; a top quality 100D Weathershield flysheet with fire retardancy and UV protection. The flysheet has fully taped seams and offers 4000mm Hydrostatic Head waterproof protection. The inners are 185T breathable polyester with PE groundsheets and the frame is 100% Dynasteel 22mm steel poles. Other features include, reinforced adjustable pegging points, pre-attached fluorescent guylines, inner tent pockets, lamp hanging point and cable entry point.
