The Kampa Frinton 4 is reminiscent of the old Outwell Montana 4 - a simple steel poled tunnel tent for 4 people but with lots of features that make this a quality tent. The Frinton 4 features a fully sewn-in groundsheet and a universal inner tent which means that you can have the inner completely open; split into two or one half of it removed altogether. The inner tent area also features Kampa's 'Sleep Tite' system - a darkened area of the tent where you can continue to sleep during the early sunrises (Noon in Stan's case).
In the living area there are two doorways - one large front panel door (with mesh secondary door) that can be propped open to form a porch (poles not included) and a side doorway that features a sided canopy. There are also two windows - one in the front door and another set within a side wall which also features a vent above it. There is a daylight panel in the roof for additional light and there is an additional zipped vent at the rear of the tent.
The specification of the tent is set high; a top quality 100D Weathershield flysheet with fire retardancy and UV protection. The flysheet has fully taped seams and offers 4000mm Hydrostatic Head waterproof protection. The inners are 185T breathable polyester with PE groundsheets and a combination of Dynasteel (19mm steel uprights) and Dynaflex (fibreglass roof poles) form the impressive construction. Other features include, reinforced adjustable pegging points, pre-attached fluorescent guylines, inner tent pockets, lamp hanging point and cable entry point.
