Kampa Croyde 6 Family Tunnel Tent
The Kampa Croyde 6 is a large 6-berth tunnel tent with a large living area plus an attractive front porch area. For a tent with a full steel frame and a brilliant track record when it comes to performance, the price of the Croyde 6 represents true value for money!
The Croyde 6 features a fully sewn-in PE groundsheet throughout and a 190T breathable polyester inner tent which is in a 4+2 sleeping configuration. There's a large tent-tidy on the outside of the inner which is great for keeping all you bits and pieces safe and the tent tidy.
In the huge 4.1x2.9m living area there are three doorways - a large roll-aside door in the front panel; a roll-up panel door to one side (that can be propped open to form a sun canopy) and a covered canopy door on the opposite side. Both sides doors also have secondary mesh doors to optimise air circulation.
There are no less than 6 large windows, 2 in the living area, 2 in the front porch area and 2 in the front door panel. All of the windows have internal privacy covers that roll down neatly and are packed into the pockets provided at the bottom of each of them.
The large front panel doorway can be half opened or fully opened depending on the weather. It leads out into the front porch area which is a great place to relax or establish you cooking area. The front porch has a detachable PE groundsheet that can be removed and easily cleaned.
The specifications of the Kampa Croyde 6 include a top quality 100D Weathershield flysheet with fire retardancy and UV protection. The flysheet has fully taped seams and gives 4000mm Hydrostatic Head waterproof protection. The inners are 190T breathable polyester with PE groundsheets and the frame consists of 19/22mm Dynasteel poles throughout.

- Spacious family tent
22nd June 2012
We are a family of four and had been looking to purchase a larger 6 berth tent which would give us plenty living space in case of poor weather (We camp a lot in Scotland!) So after hours of pouring over tent reviews we decided on the Kampa Croyde 6. We have not regretted it!We were impressed with the quality of the tent, poles and zips. Love the extra wide porch so you can cook in the rain and stay dry. It also comes with a separate ground sheet for this area which is included in the basic price. The bedroom would take 5 airbeds but I think 6 would be pushing it!The loops for electric cables are also great (I've hung my solar powered Chinese lanterns from them and they look lovely). Interior pockets are also helpful. A particularly useful feature are the inner poles which are exposed so not only do they strengthen the tent in high winds but they're also great for hanging things on. We purchased a 'Kampa Max Hanger' for [$]which is great to hang up coats/utensils, anything really! The huge windows make it feel even more light and airy and the choice of 3 doors gives more flexibility when pitching and a good flow of air.We can't recommend this tent highly enough and eagerly await for our first proper camping trip next month to really put it through its paces.@Mum of two What a great review, thanks guys, need I say more?

- Great family tent

First of all throw away the manual provided by Kampa on how to erect the tent as its next the useless. Took us hour and a half to figure out how to get the tent up in the back garden. However it is very easy to erect once figured out and onsite it took us 50 minutes..
Taken it away on some long weekend breaks. Loads of space inside and sleeps 5 of us very comfortably. Good living area and the porch at the front is invaluable. We got a carpet from the store for the living area which is a must.
Quality in generally good but have concerns that the zips might not make the long haul.
The only other concern would be the amount of condensation in the tent in the morning, however this burned of quickly.
All in all very happy with the purchase and consider it great value for money. Ideal for a family who want a little bit of space and comfort whilst camping.

A good quality product that is very reasonably priced that is great for a family holiday. Easy to erect with more than ample living space. This is what I have come to expect from the Kampa range ( we also have the Frinton 4 which we cannot speak highly enough of).

- Can't wait to get away!!
9th April 2011
We ordered this at 10pm Wednesday from Outdoormegastore [...] We were too excited to wait and decided to put it up in the garden to get an idea of what our new holiday home was like. We soon realised that the pamphlet that Kampa call the instructions was little or no help...HOWEVER do not be put off. The tent is a dream to put up. We are seasoned campers but I believe any novice would soon get the hang of it (2 people needed to set up). Once erected, it took 2 minutes to put in the interior! Plenty of space, light and height! We love it. We wanted a steel frame, family tent that is quick to put up ( and its even quicker to take down-20 mins!). It had to accomadate our huge Colemans queen size quickbed and ideally have a canopy to accomadate a large table and chairs and quick to put up for weekend breaks as well as being large enough for 2 weeks away in Poole or France...we thought we were being fussy but the Kampa Croyde 6 is everything we need and more. Just can't wait to be away in it now!
