Gelert Canopied Breeze Blocker

The Gelert Canopied windbreak is a 4-pole Windbreak with a difference in that it has a built-in sunshade so you can now sit out of the sun and out of the wind at the same time (you can do that in the boozer). If the overhead panel is not required then simply roll it away and use as a conventional windbreak. The windbreak is 3.75m x 1.4m (LxH) and packs into its own compact carry bag. The overhead shade measures 1.25m x 1.25m. Made using 4 x 16mm standard steel poles and polyester tent fabric, this windscreen has been designed to suit all types of uses but primarily for use on the campsite.

  • Fun to put up but great once sorted! 10th July 2011 45 Took two of us to put the wind break up as you needed someone to hold while the other person pegged down. However once it was up we used it all weekend. The extension shade thing was fantastic for keeping the sun off as well as for husband to shelter under to do the washing up. Well worth the extra for such a flexible shelter. Both of the friends I went camping with have now gone out and bought one!

  • Blocks breezes! 8th June 2011 35 The Gelert Breeze Blocker stood up to a pretty strong wind (Force 6) that plagued a recent camping trip. Although a pain to get up (keeps on getting blown over in the breeze you are trying to block!), once the guy ropes are in and tightened it did pretty well. One pole did bend eventually, but the fact that a pole bent before anything ripped is I think 'a good thing'. The sun canopy was a bit of a waste of time in these conditions, and is to low to cook under for example, bit did roll away and not get blown about. Overall, did its job, but make sure 2 of you are putting it up if it's a bit windy!
