Revised for 2008, the Vango Tornado is a tough but light semi-geodesic tent designed for the trekker (for boldly going) and adventurer who will appreciate the combination of lightness, stability and spaciousness. The thing that really marks out these tents is the large porch area for such a light tent - which is ideal for rucksack storage, wet gear storage and/or for cooking. For performance the Vango Tornado features a Protex SPU-RP durable ripstop polyester flysheet with HD Nylon 5000 groundsheet both with fully taped seams. The colour coded, external poles are tried and tested Powerlite 7001-T6 alloy poles for both strength and flexibility which are attached though continuous flat external pole sleeves. The features are rounded off with the double door entry (allowing exiting away from any poor weather), 'Crystal Clear' window on porch, flysheet vents, mesh vents on the inner tent (which, by the way, is breathable ripstop polyester) and adjustable flysheet attachment.
