 | Outwell Trout Lake Tunnel Tent - 2008 Model
Outwell has taken all of the best details of the Premium Polyester range of tents and reproduced them in the new Outtex Airtech Polycotton range, producing arguably the best tents on the market today. The polycotton flysheet provides a cooler internal climate and is inherently more breathable than polyester. While it is also significantly heavier than polyester, the increased weight of these tents has been offset by the use of aluminium alloy poles (They're everywhere these days) throughout rather than heavier steel as in the other Outwell ranges. Another major feature is the zipped in PVC tarpaulin groundsheets that provide a totally enclosed environment when in use but can be completely removed and cleaned/aired when not.
Airtech is a Polycotton fabric with a water repellent coating on the outside which allows water droplets to form and run off the tent then, as the rain gets heavier the fabric closes up and seals itself to become totally waterproof. Airtech also has a strong resistance to UV decay and, if carefully looked after, will last for many years.
The Outwell Trout Lake is the smallest in the range and yet is still comfortable, classic 4-berth tent featuring a partitioned inner cabin, a front door and two side doors (both of which double as no-see um mesh screen doors), two triangular front windows/vents. The tent is pitched flysheet first or as one.
Other features include: two steel porch poles; carrier bag; Outwell doormat; internal organiser; D-shaped inner doors; adjustable reinforced pegging point; pre-attached luminous guys; full length mesh pocket; Outwell Dry Zip System; Guyline retainer system. Weight: 21.9kg (tent) and 15.1kg (poles) Pack Size: 105x26cm (tent) and 89x24cm (poles) Dimensions: (Inner) 215+140+120 x 280cm Height: (Inner) 190/165cm
