The Oakland Range of tunnel tents is new for the 2010 season. A smaller version of the XL, sleeping 4 people, the L will be attractive to smaller families who do not want to compromise on space (or fly there)or the quality of it. The fully protected living space measures a healthy 3.1 x 1.9m and features a single front door (which can be propped open to form a sun canopy) and multiple windows which allow in a massive amount of light. The living space also features a fully sewn-in double coated polyethylene groundsheet to ensure all of the elements are kept at bay. The tent is designed to sleep 4 people and so the bedroom features a 2+2 universal inner tent, one half of which can be detached and folded away if not being used. Other key features include large windows with bottom-up curtains, excellent ventilation, convenient organiser pockets, mesh pockets in the inner tents, cable entry point, lamp holder and cable tidies. The technical features include one set of 19/22mm steel poles plus 12.7mm Duratec fibreglass poles; flysheet first or all as one pitching; an Outtex 3000 flysheet (a fire retardant polyester based material of 3000mm hydrostatic head) double stitched with taped seams; double-coated polyethylene sewn-in groundsheet, nylon carry bag; adjustable pegging points; Outwell doormat; pre-attached luminous guy lines; Outwell heavy duty zips; guy line retainers.
