The Michigan range is repeated in 2010 but with a significant improvement to the front porch pole which now makes the porch area a much more user friendly space. The Michigan range combines two of Outwell's own ingenious pole systems, to create a deceptively large family tent using just 3 main steel poles and a combination of fibreglass poles. The Outwell Space Frame system is a series of criss-cross poles in the roof space that allow for the main poles to remain far apart giving more living space but also allowing for great head height at the same time (ideal for keepy uppy). The other pole combination is the Outwell Extended Frame System a set of subsidiary poles used on the bedroom compartments that create much deeper and voluminous sleeping areas. The Michigan XL features 3 large sleeping compartments that can sleep up to 9 people in total. It features a large living room with great head height and a much wider porch than you see on most dome tents. Other key features include O-shaped stowaway doors on the inner tents, large windows, strategically situated skylight, large front entrance door and rear entrance (located behind 3rd inner), a fully sewn-in groundsheet with detachable groundsheet in the porch area.
