The Outwell Hartford L tent is a radically revised tent (it has seen the light) for the 2008 season. The Duratec fibreglass poled frame for the Outwell Hartford L is now external which means that the tent is pitched flysheet first (rather than inner first) and the larger porch area features pre-bent 'Gothic' porch poles to give better head height as well as a distinctive look. The other major new feature is the addition of a second pole to the bedroom pods. Outwell rather grandly call this the Outwell Extended Frame System (OEFS) and essentially it increases the head height and therefore cubic volume of the bedrooms. The Hartford range has remained consistently successful since its debut and the 'Hartford L' is an exceptional triple-room dome tent with two generous sleeping cabins, offers a large full height living space, a large front entrance porch with big, clear view windows. Other major features are the fully sewn-in groundsheet, rear door and the pre-attached breathable polyester bedroom inners that come complete with mesh organiser pockets. The frame features 12.7, 11, and 9.5mm Duratec poles with Outwell's unique ring and pin pole construction for easy set-up and pre-bent ferrules for increased stability.
