The Daddy of them all! The Windsor (along with Outwell's Idaho XL) was possibly the most stunning tent seen at the annual Stoneleigh tent show previewing 2008 tents. It offers a massive 4x4m living area and two classic bedroom areas off the living space each of which will sleep 4 people comfortably. Off the cavernous living area (Stan saw the Beatles there) are two large panel doorways which can be propped open to form large sun canopies. There are 4 windows adjacent to the bedroom areas and also two more large panel windows set into the doors. Two tent tidies are featured in the corners of the living space. The groundsheet is fully sewn-in. The other striking thing about the Windsor apart from its obviously impressive size was the absolutely rock-solid construction which was enhanced by the tripod arrangement at the base of the four main upright poles. Other features include a 2oz polyester 185T double coated flysheet, flame retardant with taped seams giving a hydrostatic head of 3000mm. The main pole construction is aluminium with fibreglass roof poles and a pair of steel porch poles supplied for propping open the front door. The Windsor comes complete with two removable 4-berth inners both of which have dividers. Estimated pitching time: 25 minutes. Comes with free instructional guide.
